Before working with Debbie I was quite confused as I was starting to realise how I am in myself and what was wrong. I spoke about the last year and how far I have come since then. A year ago I didn’t leave my bedroom and I didn’t eat. I was living with my grandma. Now I’ve got a flat that I rent in London. A whole new area and it’s the first time being on my own without an adult looking after me. Debbie helped me untangle aspects of my brain and help figure it out. The value I received was amazing. I’m eating much better now, I’m feeling more motivated, confident. My brain is more clear as a lot has been figured out. I’m in such a different place in my head since I was a month ago and it’s in a more positive way. B. Plikington 

It was very helpful to speak with someone who has an understanding of mental health which Debbie has. I’ve noticed an improvement in my ability to deal with anxiety and negative emotions. I have learned techniques to help reduce their frequency and the toll these feelings have been taking on my body. Prior to the sessions, I’d been struggling to deal with high levels of anxiety in my daily life – this had been causing problems with sleep and frequent tiredness. With Debbie’s support, I was able to learn ways to deal with and reduce anxiety, and take steps towards greater independence. The most significant improvement is in my ability to identify sources of stress and to alleviate anxiety through breathing techniques and other methods. Debbie has helped me to feel more in control of my emotions, as I now realise there are actions I can take to change negative feelings. I have been able to restart efforts to go for walks/use public transport. I am so happy to have worked with Debbie. She has helped me significantly and I feel like I have a bright future now whereas before all I could see was anxiety, she has been very helpful and understanding and I couldn’t ask for more from her. Before working with Debbie I was anxious nearly all the time, I struggled to sleep, I was exhausted all the time, I couldn’t see a happy future and my confidence and self esteem was very low, since working with her I find I very rarely feel anxious I fall asleep straight away, I wake up but am able to fall back to sleep with the tools she has given me, with the heart breathing 3x a day I feel I’m less exhausted and feel I have more energy and that I want to do things during the day and they I have a bright future, my confidence seems to be growing as I can talk to people I don’t know without feeling anxious. The 3 most significant improvements in my life since doing the building emotional resilience process with Debbie is that my sleep has got better, my confidence has gone up slightly and my anxiety has lowered.
